The land register extract shows you who owns a property and what easements, mortgages, or annotations burden it — information the PLR cadastre does not provide. In canton Solothurn, the responsible regional registry also acts as the land registry office.
The land registry office in canton Solothurn belongs to the Finance Department and is run by six regional registries: Dorneck, Grenchen-Bettlach, Olten-Gösgen, Region Solothurn, Thal-Gäu, and Thierstein. They also notarise property transactions such as sales, exchanges, or gifts.
One or more land register extracts for a municipality can be ordered online through the cantonal service portal and paid for directly by card; delivery by post usually takes one to two working days. At the counter of the responsible registry, the extract is available immediately, no appointment needed.

Owners and registered mortgagees receive an extract of all entries. Third parties without proof of interest or the owner's power of attorney receive only the public entries, such as the owner's name and the property designation.

Besides ownership, the extract lists easements such as rights of way or building rights, land charges, and mortgages. An easement survives a change of owner and can restrict how the property may be used.

How much does a land register extract cost in Solothurn?
